Tribute to Grandmother Catherine Pinkston
My grandmother, Catherine Pinkston of Sparta, GA, lived by the words “Be nice,” a simple phrase rooted
in deep spiritual truth. Even after her passing, her spirit continues to guide, protect, and strengthen me. She
was the matriarch of our family ̶ a gentle force, a teacher, and a light. Her presence still moves through
my life and my purpose. Inspired by her legacy, I lead Soft Life Society with a mission grounded in fairness,
dignity, honesty, and compassion. I step into my calling with her wisdom at my back and her love in
everything I do.
Growing up, I was often the odd one out, and those experiences shaped my work ethic, my resilience, and
my desire to build something meaningful. I know firsthand what it feels like to go without or to lack the
support every person deserves. Those moments became the foundation of my purpose. They’re why I
created Soft Life Society ̶ to offer others the softness, nourishment, fairness, and dignity that I did not
always receive. With my grandmother’s spirit guiding me, I am dedicated to building a world where
compassion is a right, not a privilege.
